More than 20 shows make up the new season at Teatro Circo Apolo in El Algar
Teatro Circo Apolo in El Algar presents its programme for the first half of 2026, an ambitious season bringing together 25 shows for diverse audiences, combining comedy, stand-up, theatre, music, magic and family entertainment.

From January to June, Teatro Circo Apolo champions a diversity of stage languages and connection with the audience, understanding culture as a shared experience.
MAGIC AND COMEDY TO KICK OFF THE YEAR
The season opens on 3 January with "Maestros de la Magia" (Masters of Magic), a show that invites audiences to unforgettable moments as the limits of the possible are challenged again and again.
Through January and February, comedy takes centre stage. On 16 January, "Hijos adolescentes" (Teenage Kids) by Andrés Torres looks at raising teenagers through surreal, irony-laced situations. On 23 January, "Pero no se lo digas" (But Don't Tell Her), with Sara Escudero, Leo Rivera and Agustín Jiménez, offers a fast-paced, sharply funny show.
On 30 January, Raúl Massana presents "Cosas de padres" (Parent Stuff), a warm, funny monologue on parenthood and its contradictions. February continues the laughs with "Edén Serrano" (6 February) and "Humorista de guardia" (On-call Comedian), José Luis Calero's new stand-up show, on 26 February.
CONTEMPORARY THEATRE
On 7 February, Teatro Circo Apolo hosts "Shakespeare & Compañía", by Defondo, a company known for its critical eye, contemporary stage language and blend of humour, irony and social commentary.
On 13 February comes "El mueble (o todas esas cosas que nunca nos diremos)" (The Furniture, or All the Things We'll Never Say to Each Other), the new production from Histrión Teatro, one of the leading companies on the Andalusian and national theatre scene. Written by Yolanda García Serrano and Juan Carlos Rubio, who also directs, the play is an intelligent, deeply human comedy about relationships, the passing of time and the words we never say.
On 20 and 21 February, audiences can enjoy "Políticamente incorrecto" (Politically Incorrect), from the Compañía Teatro Apolo, a farce written by Ray Cooney, adapted and directed by Mercedes García.
FAMILY SHOWS AND BIG PRODUCTIONS
Family programming has a strong presence with "Los Tres Cerditos" (The Three Little Pigs) on 24 January, a lavishly staged take on the classic with a script by Jean Louis RJ de Ronda, and "El Rey de la Selva" (King of the Jungle, 28 February), a musical tribute for the whole family with nine performers on stage.
In March and April, family programming continues with "ImagiLusion. Princesas" (21 March), "La Bella y la Bestia" (Beauty and the Beast, 11 April) and "Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer" (The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, 18 April), a journey through childhood, freedom and friendship down the Mississippi under Mark Twain's timeless pen.
MARCH: FROM COMEDY TO DRAMATIC INTENSITY
On 7 March, "Regreso a los 80" (Back to the 80s) offers a nostalgic comedy set to the best Spanish pop hits of the decade. On 13 March, "¿Nos besamos?" (Shall We Kiss?), from the Compañía Trío Bache, with Pedro Ángel Roca and Javi Chou, is a light, relatable comedy about everyday relationships.
On 14 March comes "Locos de amor" (Fool for Love), by Sam Shepard, one of the most acclaimed works of contemporary theatre. The play follows the intense reunion of Eddie and May, two lovers trapped in a relationship marked by desire, conflict and a painful family past.
On 20 March, "Doscapacitados", under the motto "The biggest disability is having no sense of humour", challenges stereotypes and delivers messages of resilience and inclusion through comedy.
APRIL, MAY AND JUNE: UNIQUE EXPERIENCES AND NEW PERSPECTIVES
On 24 and 25 April, Teatro Circo Apolo hosts "Se ha escrito un crimen" (A Crime Has Been Written), an interactive musical comedy-mystery with seven suspects — the audience decides the ending, so the killer's identity changes with every performance.
On 8 May, Rubén Faura presents his stand-up show "Adulto por sorpresa" (Suddenly an Adult). On 15 May comes "Goteras" (Leaks), performed by Fernando Albizu, Gonzalo Ramos and Gloria Albalate, using science fiction to reflect, with humour and emotion, on the passage of time and the meaning of success.
On 22 May, "Entre coplas y comedia" (Between Copla and Comedy) is a show for lovers of traditional Spanish popular theatre, blending sketches, songs and poetry.
The season closes on 6 June with "Las Guerreras K-Pop en Gira" (K-Pop Demon Hunters on Tour), in which Rumi, Mira and Zoey, stars of the group HUNTR/X, hide a secret behind their global fame: they are, in fact, demon hunters.
