We're heading to FETEN. Over 200 performances and 80 companies
FETEN, the International Performing Arts Fair for children and families, is one of the key events on the Spanish performing-arts industry calendar.

Now in its 34th edition, FETEN continues its role as a laboratory for current and future audience trends in Spanish live performance. The 2025 programme, run by Gijón/Xixón's Fundación Municipal de Cultura y Universidad Popular, positions the fair as both a showcase of creative trends and a space for reflection and exchange among professionals.

From 16 to 21 February, FETEN will host 86 shows and installations across more than 200 performances from 80 companies representing 16 Spanish regions and countries including Italy, Switzerland, France, Lithuania and Portugal, drawn from over 850 submissions. The programme includes eight premieres from companies Zero en conducta, Milímetro-Patricia Ruz, Trajín Teatro, Cía. Faltan7, Markeliñe, Chicharrón Flamenco Circo, Galiot Teatre and Teatro Silfo.

Many of this year's participating companies will present work in Gijón/Xixón for the first time outside their home region. Once again, Catalonia contributes the most shows to the FETEN programme with 21, followed by the Comunidad Valenciana (9), Madrid (8), Andalusia (6), the Basque Country (4), Castilla y León (3), Galicia (2), Castilla-La Mancha (2), Murcia (2), the Balearic Islands (2), La Rioja (1), Navarre (1), Extremadura (1), Aragón (1) and Cantabria (1).
